The Montreal World Film Festival

In 2008, Eric Gozlan and GoldRush Entertainment were proud to have their feature film, “Burning Mussolini” chosen for Official Selection at the Montreal World Film Festival. The question, of course, is exactly what the Montreal World Film Festival is and how they decide on their awards.

The Montreal World Film Festival has as its mission to encourage cultural diversity and understand among nations. They also want to strengthen cinema by honoring quality cinematic endeavors and promoting filmmakers and innovative works. Similarly, they aim to help discover new talents. They offer many areas of competition at their yearly festival including the: World Competition, First Films World Competition, Hors Concours, Focus on World Cinema, Documentaries of the World, Tributes, Cinema Under the Stars and the Canadian Student Film Festival.

Each year at the Montreal World Film Festival there are films submitted from more than 70 countries!
